Ryan and Molly enjoyed a playtime in our front yard with the sprinkler this afternoon. Molly was not bothered by the feeling of the grass on her toes or the freezing cold water. Ryan kept calling the sprinkler the spritzer.

Thanks to Dr. Suess and Wonder Red from Super Why Ryan is in a rhyming phase. Everything has to have a rhyme even when no English word exists- he just makes one up!

He is learning to skateboard and he loves wearing his red skate helmet and pads [largely due to the fact that I think he feels more inline with what a superhero looks like than the actual safety they provide].

We are always pretending to be a family of supers or rescue heroes. I am often addressed as Spiderman-Lady and Molly, of course, is Spiderman-Lady’s baby. He has great sense of justice and right and wrong.

He pretends to play army and says he’ll be in the army for Minnesota when he grows up! He even converted Molly’s exer-saucer into a tank by flipping it on it’s side and adding a radio for communication. He is very brave in most ways but he still hasn’t quite overcome his fear of bugs.

He loves sweets, his sister and the beach.

I love ice cream!

Molly’s latest nickname is Molly-buns. She is so cute I just want to eat her up like a Cinnabon.

She just started wearing double pig-tails and clips, it is so fun having a girl around!

Her first word is offically “Ah-Oh”. It seems appropreiate for her as she is always trying to get into everything.

She is really experimenting with her expressions. She has a pair of “crabby eyes” that come out quite often but they never seem to last very long, as seen in this set of photos.

I just put on my \'angry eyes\'.
Happy Now!

She is an avid reader loves to point out the pictures and “talk” about the story. She loves to play “chase” with Dad. She squeals with delight as her shoulders tense up with giddy anticipation of her roaring Daddy catching her as she wobble-runs away. Molly turned the tables on Pete as she roared at him in the photo below.

Roar Daddy!

Peter was presented with a homemade breakfast smoothie and a plate of bacon for his Father’s Day Breakfast. I did wonder if giving him a heart attack on a plate was actually a gift or not but none the less it was readily devoured.

After church services we went to Prior Lake to celebrate with my folks Dennis and Lucy Kender and part of Pete’s family, Phil (dad) and John (brother) McWilliams. We ate Davanni’s pizza lunch followed by games at the beach topped off with make your own sundaes/cones.

We gave my Dad a keg of Virgil’s Root-beer so some of us had root-beer floats. It was sweet to have my Dad, Father-in-law and my baby Daddy all in the same place to celebrate their lives and thank them for all that they do to contribute in my life and the life of my kids.
