Happiness is…Giving

Ry and Molly filled mugs with cocoa packets, marshmallows and candy canes for gifts this year. Ry went to the thrift store, with me, to buy a million second hand ugly festive Christmas mugs. The mugs were around 25 cents-$1.
Molly (yes, I know she needs a hair cut, poor dear) lovingly filled the mugs.

They make great token gifts for preschool teachers, church nursery volunteers, Sunday school teachers, MOPPETS workers, Aunts and Uncles and Grandparents.

Just a little tissue paper for wrapping.

Dear Molly,
I love my mug with the marshmallows and hot chocolate. It is very yummy on a cold day. It is even more fun now that I see the picture of you working on it. Susan and I used to make gifts just like you and your mom.
Love,
Marie
Hi Jessica,
Susie showed the pictures to me. It was like the past all over again! When everyone in our family was home at Thanksgiving they were reminiscing about doing crafts. To hear my children talk, they spent their whole childhood chained to the table doing crafts to give away! However, like you, I had a reason. Our kids got TONS of gifts on every occasion. And I wanted them to learn the joy of giving as well as receiving. And, actually, I think they turned out pretty well in that area of character. So, keep up the good work!
Miss you,
Love,,
Marie
