I’m Leah Rose, the youngest of 4 kids.

I love my 3 siblings because they try to make me laugh by sticking out their tongues at me. Now, that I’m 6 months old, I can stick my tongue back out at them!

They think it’s adorable. Don’t you agree?

My Mom begged encouraged me to get an updated portrait of Molly. I guess, the photo of Molly at 6 months was no longer doing-it for her.

Molly and I went outside, in the drizzly weather, to snap a few shots for Grammy-Lu.

I love this girl’s smile. She seems to be laughing in her eyes and giddy in her soul.

Claire likes to giggle at Daddy’s “So Big” game, suck her thumb and twirl her hair.

Leah likes to watch the ceiling fan, snuggle with her taggie and suck her whole hand.

Lately You Say:

Lately You Play:

• Play with babies, blankets and purses in mass quantities
• Love to stomp around in mom’s dress shoes
• Mother kitties and puppies
• Watch TV for 15 minutes at a stretch. Favorites: Elmo, Care Bears and Thomas the Train

Lately You Are:

• Sitting at the table for meals, though, you are always getting out of your chair
• Interested in mom’s make-up and looking nice
• Going pee-pee in the big potty at diaper changes
• Willing to let me rock you to sleep

Molly is busy, busy, busy. Here are some things she has been up to these days.

• Molly can click her tongue (as shown in photo). She is always talking in baby gibberish and using her tongue to build her speach muscles and to feel her teeth.
• She is really testing out the waters in being a full blown toddler. She started saying no-no already! She loves to climb up on Ryan’s bed, the couch and the stairs. She throws tantrums which are hilarious to watch. She has tried biting a few times when she is beyond frustrated.
• Her favorite blanket is a pink fleece that Grandma Margaret gave to her as a baby gift. The blankie has been named Pink for now. We’ll see what she calls it later. (Ry has a fleece blankie too that he named Blue.)
• She loves to eat noodles, pork chops, half frozen green peas, crackers of any kind, ice cream, scrambled eggs and Scooters (Malt-o-Meal’s fake Honey Nut Cherrios which do not have any nuts in them what-so-ever!)
• Her favorite toys are purses, little people and books. She shows interest in balls, cars (with a zoom sound-so sweet!) and of course, water play.
• She can use sign-language to say: Milk, Please, More, Want and Thirsty. We taught her some signing skills to help her communicate before/during her process in learning how to talk. Though her signs are often accompanied with a whine they have helped us in the “What do you want!??? Stop Crying!” parenting moments.

He is learning to skateboard and he loves wearing his red skate helmet and pads [largely due to the fact that I think he feels more inline with what a superhero looks like than the actual safety they provide].

We are always pretending to be a family of supers or rescue heroes. I am often addressed as Spiderman-Lady and Molly, of course, is Spiderman-Lady’s baby. He has great sense of justice and right and wrong.

He pretends to play army and says he’ll be in the army for Minnesota when he grows up! He even converted Molly’s exer-saucer into a tank by flipping it on it’s side and adding a radio for communication. He is very brave in most ways but he still hasn’t quite overcome his fear of bugs.

He loves sweets, his sister and the beach.
