Are you there? Add yogurt to just about every surface, food being chewed with open mouths and a sippy cup being used without hands.

Sometimes I laugh, sometimes I cry. This time I tried to teach.

I looked Ryan square in the eye and said,

God says the wise man uses his ears and the foolish man lets his tongue run

The phrase was met with a head back laugh!

What!? Are you kidding me! How do you even do that?

He continued to open his food filled mouth and “run” on his tongue with his pointer and middle fingers.

You mean like this? (running on his tongue) Hahahhaeee-hahaha!

Well, so I had to laugh. Here are some of the scriptures I was trying to recall at the ruckus albeit educational dinner table.

Words from a wise man’s mouth are gracious, but a fool is consumed by his own lips. Ecclesiastes 10:12

Wise men store up knowledge, but the mouth of a fool invites ruin. Proverbs 10:14

The wise in heart accept commands, but a chattering fool comes to ruin. Proverbs 10:8

Ingredients:

2–tablespoons lemon juice

2–tablespoons margarita mix (may exchange for 2 TBSP of tequila)

1–tablespoon vegetable oil

1–tablespoon lime juice

1–tablespoon red taco sauce

2–tablespoons green chilies — diced

1/2–teaspoon salt

Seasoned to taste with Mrs. Dash Southwest seasonings

1–pound medium peeled and cooked shrimp

Pat of butter or so (for grilling)

Directions:

Combine lemon and lime juices, margarita mix, taco sauce, oil, sliced chilies, salt, seasonings and shrimp in medium bowl.

Toss to combine. Cover and refrigerate 30 minutes.

Store the cocktail sauce in the pantry. Chill in refrigerator before serving if desired.

Place shrimp in a tinfoil boat with some butter. Cover boat with tinfoil and steam grill for 6-10 minutes. Do not over grill or cook, as shrimp will become tough. (If you put the shrimp on skewers place them directly on grill for 2-3 minutes a side.)

Serve with cocktail sauce; rice or noodles; or grilled veggies.
