Papa Phil helps Ryan pick fresh peas from the veggie garden.

Well it’s no Christmas card but we are all together! Top: Carly, Peter (Ryan), Phil, Tim and Lisa. Bottom: John, Kris, Molly and Jess.

The Anderson Family. Deegan, Sarah, Eric, Terry, Molly, Jeff, Mary Jo, Amanda.

Great-Aunt Dorothy's, (Grandma Margaret Thompson-Jensen's sister), Clothes Pin Bag from way back is still in use.

This clothes pin bag is so charming with yellow, denim and rickrack. It was Great-Aunt Dorothy’s, (Grandma Margaret Thompson-Jensen’s sister),  from way back when and it is still in use by her grand-daughters.

Splish Splash! Third cousins Deegan Anderson, Molly and Ryan McWilliams swimming in the shade.

Third cousins Deegan, Molly and Ryan swam in the mini-pool by the shade.

Surprisingly strong Molly made her way to the corn. She loves corn on the cob! The only time she was fussy all day was when her corn was all done.

Ryan started a 3 year old Pee Wee Soccer league this weekend. He was thrilled to be grown up enough to be in a real soccer game! He wore a yellow M&M shirt to match his team mates. He got a few good kicks in during the game and ran his heart out! He was not always going in the correct direction but hey at least he was running!

Kickin\' It!

Ryan’s warm up round before the game.

That\'s my boy!

Daddy caught the game on the video camera.

Running

Ryan ran in his Z-strap sketchers for the game.

Go Ryan!

Molly cheered on the players from the stroller.

In the game

Ryan ran with a 1/2 smile 1/2 pant! It was a very hot and humid morning.

Our new sporty guy still has room for his biggest fan, his Mom. He stopped to pick a dandelion for me on the way to practice.  I am so grateful for a happy, healthy and active preschooler that I adore! Go Ryan!

Here Mom!

Ryan squinting in the sun to give me a prize from the field. Thanks Buddy.

Ryan on BikeToo Far!

Bikes are like an icon for all of childhood. Bikes bring transportation, fun exercise and empowerment to a kid. I think riding a bike is a big deal. I can clearly remember the rush of the pavement beneath my tenuous bike wheels as I learned to fly across the world on my blue banana seat two wheeler. Peter rode his bike everywhere all the time as a kid – even in the winter!

It is official. Ryan is a big-kid. Well a kid-kid at least (he still has training wheels). He rides his bike around our long driveway and turnout. He has gone on two long bike rides which in tale traveling around the block or to the park. Our neighbor James is a bike enthusiast and spend a whole day working on Ryan’s Spiderman bike (from Target) to enhance its performance! I don’t know too many kids that have their first bike’s chain greased, brakes aligned and spokes adjusted.

It has been so fun to watch Ryan’s determination as he pedals around. Very cool.
